Barbara Inchley

Barbara Inchley received a degree in Biology and then gained a post-graduate teaching certificate in Education. She then taught science at Gads Hill Place, Charles Dickens’ home outside Rochester, Kent.

She has done needlework since a child, but studied formally with City & Guilds and went on to gain a Part 2 Embroidery Diploma in Ashford, Kent.

Barbara has taught a number of different Creative Studies courses for City & Guilds, in Maidstone and in Ashford. She piloted the first City & Guilds Automatic Decorative Stitch course in the United Kingdom.
