June Steegstra has 17 years experience in free motion embroidery. June trained in art at Olympic College and received a Diploma in Education from Seattle Bible College. She has taught for the Pacific Northwest Needle Art Guild and has held classes at Northwest Sewing in Seattle, Everett and Bellevue, WA. She began her studies with Gail Harker in 1994. To date she has received 3 City & Guild certificates in the areas of Design and Embroidery through our center.  June is one of a select group of North American students to have been awarded the City & Guilds Diploma in Design and Embroidery, which she received in 2004. She has served as a teaching assistant at the center for the past 10 years. She consistently participates in art shows and exhibitions in the Northwest and conducts demonstrations of machine embroidery technique at locations throughout.
